I was reading this commercial from Tony Robbins’ Newsletter ”
When someone asks you for help, how do you respond?
The naive coach tends to “over-commit.”
They feel this heartfelt pressure to help the person, so the say, “Yes! Let me share my solutions with you. I’m committed to your change. Let’s make it happen!”
Why is this naive? Because if you rush in too much as a coach, you might scare the client away!
Or worse yet, you are seen as a “nagging” friend giving them unwanted advice. Ever experience that?
The wise coach knows better. They say, “Great. I’d love to help you.”
Then the wise coach thinks to themselves, “Let’s figure out what kind of client this is.”
You see, there are four different client types. The four types have different goals. They work at different speeds.
And they have completely different expectations for their coach.
When the naive coach “rushes in” to help, they miss out on the client’s type.
They miss what’s really going on.
The wise coach first understands the client’s type, and proceeds accordingly.
Which coach do you think is more effective?
If you ever find yourself giving advice to someone who doesn’t seem to benefit… I have something for you.
Today we will be sharing one of our top strategies for bringing faster, more profound change to coaching clients.
It will also work on anyone in your life who needs your help.”
I come into the later category of coaches – the Naive Coach! I tend to commit fast, stay committed for long and rarely have I failed.
I believe that Flirting Mentor is an Oxymoron just as a term like Naive Coach is, IMHO. A TRUE coach or mentor is neither naive nor a Flirt ! Serious coaches are Committed people and whether they commit early or later is a matter of their mind’s processes and early or late decision making capabilities/ habits – nothing else!

End of Drama
Free verse by jay
I cannot help but stop and look at rhetorician speaker tearjerker.
Do tearjerker make you shiver?
Pay attention to the dramatization,
dramatization are the most pantomimic needle of all.
Do dramatization make you shiver?
The adventure story that’s really cunning,
Above all others are the saga.
Ahem. ahem, ahem.
In today’s competitive business world, there are two basic realities that drive the workforces. First one is getting people who get results. Second is to get people who get results stay.
Today’s world of globalization, customized employee enhancement plans, competitive benefits, and demographic changes make it very tough on companies to get and then retain talent. That’s how the managers of today are not just managers. They are recruiters, planners, motivators, and trainers, all rolled into one.
To keep this already-complex chain of operation from spiraling out of control, the companies have found the best way to manage their staff is to coach them. The role of a coach in a company, in this regard, is to take a group of people with diversified proficiency, understand their strengths and improve them, and at the same time, realize the cause of their weaknesses and eradicate them.
The Role of a Coach
The role of a coach is significantly different from that of an instructor. In coaching, employees are asked to grow in their strengths and address their weaknesses so that they realize their self-growth. It keeps them motivated and happy in the workplace – both keys to retaining talent.
Leaders take their staff from where they are to where they’ve never been before. Nothing could define coaching better than this statement from Henry Kissinger.
Coaching, in the true sense, is tailor-made for people who have the potential to grow to greater heights and yet, are too content in delivering just satisfactory performance. These employees are different from slackers who don’t perform properly, either due to non-interest or inferior knowledge.
The employees we are addressing are employees who like their professional life just the way it is at the moment, and have fit in snugly to the demands of the workplace, which is not bad in itself, however, every organization needs its employees to grow. That’s the way every organization grows too, being a sum total of different talented groups. The job of a coach, therefore, is to ensure that the employees improve their job performance through a constant process of encouraging and suggesting improvements.
Abstract: Let us take an example to understand how coaching benefits employees .M was recently promoted to the post of a Team Manager , something he does not have a lot of experience on . At their first meeting , S asked a couple of questions to M to know more about him , just to get acquainted . In the subsequent meetings , Stanley and Morgan discussed what ‘s strengths and weaknesses were , and what the improvements in skill-sets were that Morgan had to bring back to his job . Over the next few months ,M and S regularly update their progress . They also discuss game play , tactics , and team building .
Let us take an example to understand how coaching benefits employees. M was recently promoted to the post of a Team Manager, something he doesn’t have a lot of experience on. He has been given the task to manage one of the teams in the company, so he sought help from a company coach to help him in understanding the requirements for the job, and to cultivate the right approach for the job. M enrolled for a two day per week course, and was assigned a coach named Stanley, who would be coaching him for the next few months.
S started by asking M to carry a workbook with him, in which M will keep a record of the discussions and guiding points that Stanley will provide to him during the learning. At their first meeting, S asked a couple of questions to M to know more about him, just to get acquainted. Then they discussed how they are going to work together, and with other people, in realizing the goals that have been set.
In the subsequent meetings, S and M discussed what M’s strengths and weaknesses were, and what the improvements in skill-sets were that M had to bring in him to excel at his job. Over the next few months, M and S met regularly to understand and analyze their progress.
They also spent time on discussing game play, tactics, and team building. Stanley constantly referred to his old coaching logs and M’s own workbook as evidences of improvement and encouraged Morgan to keep pushing his boundaries. Mock grills and role-plays were organized to check M’s improvement in team-managing under diverse and difficult scenarios.
At the end of the coaching, M commented on how useful he found the coaching process and how it made him realize the potential inside him that he had no idea he possessed. He is now a successful team-manager and a part-time coach himself to the new employees who join the company.
Mentoring is the act of identifying and nurturing potential areas of improvement in an individual. This could be a short-term action plan targeted towards a specific goal in mind, like career growth, higher learning, or could be a life-long process of improvement. The goals and processes are always set here by the learner. The job of the mentor here is to just facilitate, guide, and provide feedback after long stages of intensive observation. Coaching relates primarily to performance improvement, and is more often a short-term achievement in a specific skills area. The goals, process and suggestion are that of the coach. While the learner has primary ownership of the goal, the coach has primary ownership of the process. Feedback is often shared instantaneously.
This tutorial is for designed primarily for those working professionals who are assigned the responsibility to either coach or mentor the new employees or junior talents in their companies to improve their skill-sets, or help them grow in their careers. This tutorial aims at teaching trainers the difference between coaching and mentoring, and how the approaches change as per the requirement of the learner.
Before proceeding with this tutorial, you are expected to have a detailed knowledge on the working process of your company, and the job responsibilities that you will handle, and the expectation your management has of you, in terms of productivity and performance.

Because I could not lead for Greed,
it did kindly lead for me.
Pause to lead, like the Greed does.
Pay attention to the selfish,
the selfishness is the most Alchoholic stinginess of all.
Does the selfishness make you shiver?
Pay attention to the stupid,
stupidity is the most brilliant mistake of all.
Stupids are impressive. stupidity is magnificent,
stupid are vivid, however.
Why would you think egotists are large?
egotists are the most little pride of all.
Are you upset by how smaller they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the egotism so least?
Are your Powering Off or Powering ON?
Do you take your laptop on vacation? Do you take your smartphone or your ipad/ Tablet? Harris Interactive reported that one-third of vacationers take their laptops on vacation. During a Sunday meal at a restaurant recently, I observed a man sitting with his family talking on his smartphone — obviously about business. He was not happy neither was his family!
Harris Interactive reported that one-third of vacationers on their laptops on vacation . How grateful I was for my smartphone when I came across a young student stalled on a bus stop without one , and I could immediately get help . How convenient it is on vacation to use the Internet to explore the options for entertainment in the area on a rainy afternoon , and get directions to find it Easily . How comforting to know that my family can reach me in an emergency or something to celebrate! – regardless of where I am in the world .
The same can be said for my colleagues . Repeatedly I have emphasized that you can control the things you can control , so you can cope with the things you can not . In the complex world in which we live , especially with the level of connectivity available , it is easy to fall into the trap of feeling we are victims of other people . I cringe when someone complains about having to answer their cell phone .
If you don’t want to be reached , you can power off . If you-have to be reachable Because your job requires it , Then The issue IAM May be in the right job? Or ,have you just trained people that you are available here .Connectivity can be addictive . My daughter , who is in counseling , reminded me that an addiction is something that reduces the quality of your life and the people around you .
My passion is helping individuals and organizations create and sustain a productive environment so everyone can do their work and enjoy their lives .When used appropriately , enable your work and enable you to play . It can also undermine your priorities at work , destroy your health ,and poison your relationships when used inappropriately . The issue is not about your phone or your cell phone on 24/7 .
The question is whether your choice is improving or diminishing your life and the lives of the people around you .

We are all a One Man Company. Jay is A Complete FootBall/ Cricket/ Hockey Team Rolled into one as an Accomplished Mentor
- Jay is a Coach. ( For Executives / StartPreneura / Businessman/Woman):
When you need to have older, wiser person around, who is better attuned to your industry and job, Jay can coach you through tough moments, think big picture on projects and ideas, and helps Mentees solve work-related problems. Coach is required when you need someone to help you think-through difficult problems. A good coach doesn’t solve problems; they help you see both the problem and your role clearly. They do this by observing, listening, asking focused questions, reflecting back, and challenging. Coaches can suggest strategies for solving problems you may not have considered, and can help you think “bigger picture” on ideas and possible solutions.
- Jay is a Connector – All Mentees need this.
There is an old saying, “It’s all about who you know?” Well, it’s who you know — along with who they know, and to whom they are willing to introduce you. Jay willingly opens up his network to help move an entrepreneur and his or her business forward. Whether it’s staking his own credibility on helping find a first customer who’s willing to take a risk on the unproven entity, or making that connection to a critical hire, Connector Jay is one of the most valuable mentoring assets a startup can have. People are generally inward looking. Connector Jay is outward-facing (makes you do a short exercise with your thumbs too which is his trademark style). Jay’s satisfaction comes from helping people meet each other. Jay has met a half dozen true connectors in life and without them, he would not have had as much success. Nobody knows why Jay loves connecting people, but this sharing traits comes from having bountiful amounts of energy and loving new ideas. Jay is a networker for 15 years of Social Media and has a wide and very deep network of people who all respect me and they often «get things done.» If you meet one of these people, hang on. (He may be prove to be your GodFather moment! 🙂
Jay is also an expert on Social media, Blogging and Networking and has spent 15 years in self-learning. He offers valuable tips, technology help, productivity support thru web tools he has tested over the years.
- Jay is a Challenger – For StartPreneurs, Business People, Social Enterprises.
Jay is not a mentor you’ll be spending New Year’s Eve with because he is there to call bullsh– on a lot of things that will sometimes make you uncomfortable. But that’s OK. If you want lots of happy talk, call your Mom. She will love everything you do. If you want to grow, you will want some challengers in your life who will tell you when they think you’re doing something wrong or if an idea just plain *****. They’re the ones who, after you call the Cheerleader about your great idea, will tell you a dozen ways why it won’t work unless you do X, Y, and Z. This criticism, if it comes from the right place, will set you on the right path. Challenger Jay is super smart and super fast–:) he often doesn’t have a lot of time so you’ll find he’ll give his dose of advice quickly and move on. Call on Jay only when you need him. He is not an ATM – Any Time Mentor! An entrepreneur’s drive needs to come from within, but many of us also need a healthy push to heighten our sense of passion and urgency and keep us moving forward. The Challenger’s role is to push an entrepreneur to put in the hard work, to sweat the details that matter, to hit key milestones and to outwork his/her competition. It’s also The Challenger’s responsibility to confront assumptions and ask the tough questions that ultimately prevent an entrepreneur from making costly errors.
- Jay is a Cheerleader – Executives, StarUps, Businesses.
You remember the people whom you can call after getting a big promotion and they will be as thrilled for you as your mother. And believe me, nobody will ever be as thrilled as Mom. In a cutthroat world, you need people who will genuinely be happy for you and who will be there when everyone else has left–i.e., after your company has gone bankrupt. Jay is one person like this who will sends encouraging texts or takes calls immediately if you are having a particularly bad day. Sometimes that’s all you need to get you through. You don’t need too many people like this–sometimes one is just enough, but this person is your rock.
Cheerleader Jay can give an entrepreneur the motivation and energy needed to persevere. That energy is also found in a supportive spouse, parent or in good friends, but it really helps to have someone with relevant experience and credibility say, “You can do this.”
5.Jay is an Educator – An Advisor for Business People
Jay was a Visiting B School Faculty for 15 years and and Advisor to Two New Educational Institutes and three Skills Development companies. As an Educator: Starting a business is the steepest learning curve anyone can experience. The tests of building a business are frequent — and lessons are ongoing. Educator is someone who sees in an entrepreneur a desire to learn and is willing to sit down and teach him/her when needed. From business basics to complex ideas and practices, they’ll take the time to understand knowledge gaps and help entrepreneurs avoid the costly mistakes that can be caused by being too proud to ask for help or advice. Educator is a person who takes the time to sit down and share their expertise with those who want to learn. Educators love to help others by sharing their wisdom. They want to see everyone succeed!
- Jay is an Ideator – StartUp, Running Businesses, C-Level Executive Coach
Jay is a Creative Thinker, Critical Thinker, Lateral Thinker and also an Elastic Thinker = The Ideator Jay asks you Are you dreaming big enough? Are you being as creative as you can be? When an entrepreneur is buried in executing day-to-day tasks and sweating the small stuff in the trenches, taking the time to pause and survey the bigger picture is critical for keeping a business moving in the right direction. The Ideator loves to play the role of thought partner which Jay calls as Accountability Partner a term he borrows from his Mentor and Coach Dr. Marshall Goldsmith as an entrepreneur thinks critically about how to build a creative and differentiated business
- Jay the Librarian – Executives, StartUps, Businesses,
Jay is a powerhouse of knowledge and experience. He is a walking encyclopedia on subjects he likes and has invested his time to learn more, informally. As you navigate through life, it’s helpful to be able to pull from various resources to help you get along. The Librarian has a wealth of information on your community, clubs, organizations and support systems. They know a resource for almost any need and are aware of where to go to get questions answered or to get things done.
8.Jay the Super Star and Idol to many of his Mentees – Executives, StartUps
We need to find people who we admire. People who are living parts of ourf life in a way you aspire to, or who currently have the career that you want to have. Spend time with them and get to know their routines, their resources, how they go about their days. While their way is not the only way, you can gain valuable insight into steps you might want to take to get you closer to your goals!
9.Jay can be your Teammate – Executives, StartUps, Businesses
Some days you just need an awesome listener. Someone to remind you that it’s okay; tomorrow is another day. A good teammate realizes that you aren’t always looking for a solution to your problem, or a motivational speech to spur you on. You just need someone to listen with a sympathetic ear, and then allow you to move on.
- Jay is a small brand – Startups and Businesses. Social enterprises.
with image, reputation and following – I support your Brand Story development by sharing my successes and failures transparently and helping you find your own answers in moments of Crisis. Jay helps entrepreneurs Dream Big – Define their Vision, Set their Mission, Goals, Objectives, Action Plans by working on a Long and Mid Term Strategy for their businesses. He then helps them to begin execution by drawing up a Project Management dummy set up with timelines, deadlines, Reviews, course correction etc.
Not all Jay’s mentees need his Entire gamut of skills. They sometimes pick and choose specific ones to save time, energy and effort or duplication.
- Jay is a Non-Playing Captain, Coach and Mentor
Jay takes an impassionate, detached, cold look at the business as it passes thru its crisis, turnaround, loss making phases and offers to work with the team to find solutions by brainstorming, creative thinking technique. His methods are unique, they do stand the test of time eventhough they may not have been tested in your industry.
Formula For YOUR Success!
While everyone who seems to come up with SUCCESS, FORMULA, SECRET in their titles makes to the best seller list of books – rarely one formula is good for Home businesses or Startpreneurs.
Outline your tasks daily using the day timer you will know what day and time you can repost your ads or emails to Safelists. This is a great time saver. If you have multiple email accounts a program called GMAIL Aps is tops, login one place and check them all at once. A lot times for every task to get the most important done early
Finding your niche so you can concentrate. When you find out what your specialty is then you can start to promote to the people that are working on the same type of things you are. Are you just with a program to make money as an affiliate? Do you have your own website that goes back to your affiliate site?
Are you selling homemade products?
Are you someone that is selling from his/her own store or mall?
There are so many different things to promote and you want to reach your target audience to get the results that you are seeking.
Outline your tasks daily using the day timer you will know what day and time you can repost your ads or emails to Safelists. This is a great time saver. If you have multiple email accounts a program called GMAIL Apps is tops, login one place and check them all at once. A lot times for every task to get the most important done early when you are full of energy. Take breaks so you can re-evaluate what you are doing and be more receptive to tasks still to be done. Organization will set you above the crowd because you will accomplish more.
Reach your crowd after finding your niche you need to advertise to your target. Go to forums and post to the ones that fit your niche so you will be working your ads to people with the same goals and targets you have. In the forums you will not be able to blatantly set your ads out, post what you would like to add and then leave your signature with your URL in it. If they enjoyed or learned from your post they might want to follow up by visiting your site.
Mentors get you trained and help stimulate the learning process. They keep you fortified with uplifting values and appeal to your excitement. With the right mentor you will go farther because you are learning from them, this shortens your learning curve. When you work with others listen and you will gain information from them from what they have been doing in their promotion.
Using every avenue of promotion, traffic exchanges also use banner views for your credits. They have blog exchanges, you view others blogs to get traffic to your blog. They also have banner rotators you can post one url in the banner slot with 5 banners loaded to cycle through. Just a few of the ways to make your time work better with tools online. Before you purchase any software online check out and see what other people have to say about it at Google. This is a way to find out before you have put out your money for software that will
not be used. Market wisely and then you will be in the profit zone.
Leave nothing to chance, ad trackers help you to find which promotion is working for you. This also depends on titles and content when this has been checked and it still does not pull people in, then leave the non-producers behind and find new ones. Traffic Hoopla has the top promoters listed every week; this is a good resource to check. This one costs but still a good resource- Traffic Testers.
Advertise, and advertise some more, you just have to get the word out. Even the big names put their logos and advertising out there for millions of dollars. You can start with the free ones and after making money move on and put your money out for paid advertising. Keep your records so you know what you are spending and what is bringing the people to your site.
Quick and Dirty
Things that are fixed with great speed, but as a result, it’s probably not going to work very well. The quick trip this year did not expect any result even after a month and I was little depressed. But the Brainwave and Udemy courses I am doing are really balancing.
There’s No I in Team
To not work alone, but rather, together with others in order to achieve a certain goal. The recent attempts to work as a team member without putting skin in the game has not worked. Partner trouble of the past always comes back however much I try to let it go.
Burst Your Bubble
To ruin someone’s happy moment. No I did not and will not do that.
Break The Ice
Breaking down a social stiffness. Hmmm… I think I shall shrink all other social activities and whatever is going on and just focus on 2 or 3 major big ticket items only. I need finishiative myself.
Right Off the Bat
Immediately, done in a hurry; without delay. But it did not yield any results. May be the introduction was not done well or my offerings were wrong or may be I was not seen as the choice or I failed to sell my services well.
I Smell a Rat
A feeling that something is not quite right, or awry. That sinking feeling ! Ahh ! but I am learning lessons on Self hypnosis and they are good. They work.
It’s Not Brain Surgery
A task that’s easy to accomplish, a thing lacking complexity. No. I do not have any simple task in my task list. I must just junk it and fill it up with small simple tasks and steps I can do and applaud myself , pat my own back.

Above all others are the serenades.
Do serenades make you shiver?
All that is little is not hello,
hello, by all account is big.
Down, down, down into the darkness of the hello,
Gently it goes – the liberal, the high, mighty fellow.

Give a Man a Fish Meaning: It’s better to teach a person how to do something than to do that something for them. I TOTALLY agree after this year’s lessons I learnt. This question makes me cringe. It’s not that I don’t want to help. I do — I really do. It’s just that when someone asks me to be their mentor, I don’t know what I’m signing up for. The question feels like a marriage proposal from someone I’ve never met, an indefinite labor contract with unspecified terms of service, and a giant pile of responsibility on an already full plate.
But I understand where people are coming from. We’ve been spoon-fed the idea that finding a mentor is a prerequisite for success. Countless business books and self-help guides preach the importance of a good mentor. Under this image we have nurtured, a mentor takes a mentee under their wing, like Socrates and Plato, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, and Mr. Miyagi and Daniel. The relationship then blossoms, and the mentee achieves philosophical greatness, makes billions, or wins the All Valley Karate Championship.
I hate to be a buzzkill, but this isn’t how things work in real life. We wait for a good mentor to arrive like a prophet, whisk us from our canyon of despair, and push us up the ladder of success. But that mentor often doesn’t come, at least not in the form that we’re expecting. We then use the lack of a mentor as an excuse for not getting started.
The solution to this quandary appears in a scene in Good Will Hunting, one of my favorite movies. In the scene, Sean McGuire, the therapist played by Robin Williams, asks Matt Damon’s genius character, Will Hunting, if he has a soulmate—someone who challenges him.
After some meandering, Will replies: “I got plenty. Shakespeare, Nietzsche, Frost, O’Connor, Kant, Pope, Locke.” Sean mocks this answer: “That’s great. They’re all dead.” Undeterred, Will says: “Not to me, they’re not.”
Will is on to something. We assume our soulmates and sources of inspiration have to be real-life mentors who are a quick phone call or an email away. But that assumption is false. As Elizabeth Gilbert writes, mentors “live on the shelves of your library; they live on the walls of museums; they live in recordings made decades ago.”
No one has taught me more about democracy than the Czech writer and politician Vaclav Havel. He’s not alive. No one has taught me more about writing than Stephen King. I’ve never met him. No one has taught me more about humility than the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. He’s been fertilizing daffodils for nearly two thousand years. No one has inspired me more about leveraging failure for success than Sara Blakely. I saw her on the television show Billions once, but our paths have never crossed.
All I had to do to learn from these incredible people, and many others like them, was to study their lives. Take, for example, Stephen King. I treat his fiction like a textbook. I highlight, underline, circle, and review. I’ve learned more from studying his writing than I ever could from a formal “mentoring” session where I would ask him if he has any advice on writing (to which he would probably respond, “Go read my books.”).
You can channel the power of these teachers without holding a seance. Pick your favorite source of inspiration and ask yourself this question: What would they do if they were in my shoes? What would Elon Musk do when faced with this challenge? How would Elizabeth Gilbert tackle this creativity problem? How would Jane Austen develop the character in my novel? If you’ve done your homework, and studied their works, you’ll know what the answer is.
So, to those of you looking for real-life mentors, I say, stop looking.
Your mentors are already all around you.
You just have to open your eyes to see them.

A Poem by jay
Whose pepper is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite sad though.
It really is a tale of woe,
I watch him frown. I say hello.
He gives his pepper a shake,
And sobs until the tears make.
The only other sound’s the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.
The pepper is emotional, weak and deep,
But salt has promises to keep,
Until then he shall not sleep.
He lies in plate with ducts that weep.
He rises from his soggy bread,
With thoughts of madness in his head,
He idolises being dead.
Facing the day with never ending dread.

- Shot In the Dark Meaning: An attempt that has little chance for success. But worth taking. I don’t leave till the end, whenever it comes – it may or may not come. Keep at it.
- Birds of a Feather Flock Together Meaning: People tend to associate with others who share similar interests or values. Yes. Especially Conniving, Nefarious, Nexus of Corrupt always find ways to come together.
- On the Ropes Meaning: Being in a situation that looks to be hopeless! Hmmm… In such cases, I do not persist. I take a walk. A childhood trait. Whenever there was an issue about Captaincy and someone wanted to be one instead of me – I’d walk away and start a new club, a new team and remain the Captain. What an authoritarian, autocrat I was. No?
- Down And Out Meaning: (1) A term used in a boxing. (2) Someone who has become incapacitated. No. Never. Never give up. I was able to contain the heart disease with Doctors, family help and my own determination. I still live with half a heart pumping at only 35% but I choose to live and not give up.
- Hear, Hear Meaning: A shout of agreement, or to draw attention to a speaker. No many times do we hear this. These days, like the purchase managers of the olden days, people are taught to say NO NO NO NO till their tongue bleeds. 🙂
- Roll With the Punches Meaning: To tolerate or endure through the unexpected mishappenings you may encounter from time to time. Yes. As an ex Boxer I am ready to face them.
- Back To the Drawing Board Meaning: Starting over again on a new design from a previously failed attempt. Starting to publish the Poetry ebook from my blog tomorrow is the deadline. How I hate deadlines.
- Jack of All Trades Master of None Meaning: Having suitable skill in multiple things, but not being an expert in any of them. Yes I am one. No problem with that.
- Rain on Your Parade Meaning: To spoil someone’s fun or plans; ruining a pleasurable moment. Happened this morning and suggested solutions to overcome the issues and mitigate risks.
- Hear, Hear Meaning: A shout of agreement, or to draw attention to a speaker. Yet to happen.
- I Smell a Rat Meaning: A feeling that something is not quite right, or awry. That sinking feeling… Why does it always occur on my bad biorhythm days?
Short story that inspired me to write a Quick Poem below
Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends and integrity. And you’re keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls — family, health, friends, integrity — are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life.
The Sharp And Grand Rock
A Poem by Jay Parkhe
Whose rock is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite angry though.
He was cross like a dark potato.
I watch him pace. I cry A’llo.
He gives his rock a shake,
And screams you’ve made a bad mistake.
The only other sound’s the break,
Of distant glasses and bars awake.
The Rock is sharp, Grand and deep,
But he has promises to keep,
Tormented with nightbirds he never sleeps.
Revenge is a promise a man must keep.
He rises from his flat bed,
With thoughts of violence in his head,
A flash of rage and he sees red.
Without a men-O-pause you turned and fled.

Here’s how to calculate, in dollars and cents, the value of your time
Written by Chris Bailey × July 17, 2018
Takeaway: It’s worth calculating, in dollars and cents, what your time is worth to you. Chances are the value will orbit around four things: how frugal you are, how much you value your time, your income, and how busy you are or how overwhelmed you feel.
Estimated Reading Time: 3 minutes, 7s.
Calculating how valuable your time is can help you determine which tasks are worth spending your time on.
When it comes to productivity, one of the most powerful things to realize is that not all tasks are made equal. Some tasks in your work and home life—like training new recruits, investing in your learning, and playing a board game with your family—are valuable and meaningful to you. These are infinitely more important than repetitive work tasks, or maintenance tasks at home, like mowing the grass, cleaning up around the house, or doing your taxes—all of which can easily be delegated to a virtual assistant, student, or kid down the street.
Everyone can place a value on their time, and doing so is one of the most valuable calculations you can make when it comes to your productivity. There are countless ways in your home and work lives to buy back some time. Obviously you won’t always be able, or want to delegate tasks—especially at work, where you may not have the budget or flexibility to hire an assistant or student to work on your team. But when you look around, there are countless ways of buying back your time.
For example, deciding whether to:
fly or drive somewhere
take an Uber or public transportation
hire someone to mow your yard, shovel snow, or clean your place
hire an assistant, student, or team to delegate low-return tasks to
hire someone to do your personal or business taxes or accounting
becomes infinitely easier when you calculate exactly what your time is worth to you. Naturally, if you find value or meaning in the tasks above, they may not be worth outsourcing to someone else.
This calculation is entirely subjective, but over the last several years, as I’ve calculated my personal amount, I’ve found that the value has orbited around four things:
How frugal I am.
How much I value my time.
My income level.
How busy I am, and how overwhelmed I feel.
Even when I was a starving student, I found that there was a certain amount I would pay to buy back an hour of my time. Back then, I did my own taxes and worked a minimum wage job because my time wasn’t worth more than that—but it was still worth something, I figured around $5/hour. Today, many years later, the equation has changed: I’m busier and actually have a stable income, so I’m willing to pay more to buy back an hour of my time. In both cases, calculating how valuable my time was gave me a benchmark to see whether buying back some time was worth it.
I have a simple challenge for you: right now, spend a few minutes considering what your time is worth, given the variables above. The calculation takes some thought, but it will pay dividends over time. If you can’t do it right now, schedule 15 minutes in your calendar tomorrow to do the challenge—no matter how low or how high you think the number will be.
Every minute you save by not doing low-value tasks is one precious minute you can spend doing something more meaningful or important. When how productive you are is a direct result of how you spend your time, knowing the value of your time will let you evaluate opportunities to buy it back in the future. Every minute you save by not doing low-value tasks is one precious minute you can spend doing something more meaningful or important. This will let you spend your time on more meaningful things.

How was the math test?
Lets all be unique together until we realise we are all the same.
Should we start class now, or should we wait for everyone to get here?
Why do we need a Master/ Mentor?
Story shared by a friend on WhatsApp this morning.
Once upon a time, a cow went out to graze in the jungle. Suddenly, she noticed a lion racing towards her. She turned and fled, fearing that at any moment the lion would sink his claws into her. The cow desperately looked for someplace to escape and at last, saw a shallow pond. Barely evading the lion’s reach, she jumped into the pond, and in the heat of the chase, the lion blindly leaped after her.
To the surprise of them both, the pond was extremely shallow yet filled with deep recesses of mud. After toppling over each other, the cow and the lion found themselves a short distance apart, stuck in the mud up to their necks. Both had their heads above water but were unable to free themselves no matter how much they writhed.
The lion repeatedly snarled at the cow and roared, “I am going to enjoy the sound of crunching your bones between my teeth!”
He thrashed about in fury but soon became fretful as he found no prospect of escape.
The cow thoughtfully laughed as the lion struggled to free himself and asked him, “Do you have a master?”
The lion disdainfully replied, “I am the king of the jungle. Why do you ask me if I have a master? I myself am the master!”
The cow said, “You may be the king of the jungle, but here all your power has failed to save your life.”
“And what about you?” Retorted the lion. “You are going to die here in this mud too!”’
The cow smiled mildly and said, “No, I am not.”
“If even I, the king of the jungle cannot free myself from this mud”, snapped the lion, “Then how can you, an ordinary cow?”
The cow gently replied, “I cannot free myself from this mud, but my master can. When the sun sets and he finds me absent at home, he will come looking for me. Once he finds me, he will raise me up and escort me home sweet home.”
The lion fell silent and coldly glared at the cow.
Soon enough, the sunset and the cow’s master arrived. He immediately recognized the plight she was in and lifted her to safety. As they walked home, the cow and the master both felt renewed gratitude for one another and pitied the lion they both would have been happy to save if only the lion had allowed them.
The cow represents a surrendered heart, the lion represents an egoistic mind, and the master represents the Guru. The mud represents the world, and the chase represents the struggle for existence therein.
Its good to be independent and not rely on anyone. But don’t take it to an extreme, you always need a partner/coach/mentor/ friend who will be always on the lookout for you.
Having them does not mean you are weak, it’s just that you can be stronger with their help.
Make sure to share this story with your partner/coach/mentor/ friend and express your gratitude.

Who will understand this market better than someone who’s been in the SaaS industry since its inception in India till today, when it’s a booming industry? The man in question is Sridhar Vembu, the founder and CEO of Zoho. As we caught up with the SaaS magician during Inc42 Facebook Live AMA, here are some things that he shared…
The now-defunct Anglo-American firm has gained notoriety for its harvesting of Facebook profiles and shady campaign tactics, but the storm of controversy has been building for decades. Before its younger sibling, Cambridge Analytica, worked for Donald Trump, SCL Group claimed to have built a portfolio of political work in three dozen countries, deploying its “behavioral change” tactics in sometimes shaky democracies.
“Good artists borrow great artists steal” is a phrase that Facebook seems acutely aware of. It’s common to speak of Instagram, the Facebook-owned photo-app-now-social-network, borrowing from Snapchat, but now Facebook’s WhatsApp chat app is increasingly drawing its innovation from others such as Telegram.
Connoisseurs of the Amazon media narrative knew exactly what to expect when the retailer announced its acquisition of online pharmacy PillPack for just under $1 billion: lots of headlines about disruption, combined with breathless reporting about the plunging share prices of Rite-Aid, Walgreens, and CVS. Everything Amazon touches, it seems, gets automatically imbued with industry-shaking potential.
I Did It!
On 13th May I began writing this blog again – regularly.
This month I resolved to learn again and I enrolled for 10 UDEMY online courses. It is a wonderful feeling of FINISHIATIVE when I completed the new learning, new knowledge I gained. I know at 65 years of age, it does not qualify me for another job role in any corporate but the feeling of Self Fulfillment स्वान्तः सुखाय (the way Goswami Tulsidas wrote Ramayana – For स्वान्तः सुखाय not for others but it became the Holy book for Hindus), it is that feeling.
