#MyLegacy Series – Jay Parkhe

“To hinder the description of illness in literature, there is the poverty of the language. English, which can express the thoughts of Hamlet and the tragedy of Lear, has no words for the shiver and the headache. It has all grown one way.”

“Yet it is not only a new language that we need, more primitive,

more sensual, more obscene but a new hierarchy of the passions;

love must be deposed in favor of a temperature of 104;

jealousy give place to the pangs of sciatica;

sleeplessness play the part of the villain,

and the hero becomes a white liquid with a sweet taste —

that mighty Prince with the moths’ eyes and the feathered feet,

one of whose names is Chloral.”

The Dancer and the Actress

Rhyming Couplet Ideas by jay

See the snorting of the dancer,
I think she’s angry at the lancer.

She finds it hard to see the poke,
Overshadowed by the cold masterstroke.

Who is that looking near the fun?
I think she’d like to eat the spray gun.

She is but a soft acting,

Admired as she sits

upon a subcontracting.

Her clucking car is just a regret,

It needs no gas,

it runs on anisette.

She’s not alone

she brings apologies,

a pet kangaroo,

and lots of chronologies.

The kangaroo likes to chase a hurt,

Especially one that’s in the pay dirt.

The dancer shudders

at the ornamental tickle

She wants to leave

but she wants the Pickell.

I like the PNUTS . newsletter and its quotable quotes. They are wonderful.

There’s no greater risk than the one that comes

from trying something

without knowing

what you’re doing.

MyLegacy – Series by Jay Parkhe

Both the past and the future are beyond our reach, it’s the present we must grasp.

Q. Live in the past, Dream of future or…

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Wisdom lies not in the answers one gives, but in the questions, one asks.
It is not the answer that enlightens, but the question.

(Eugene Ionesco)

Sometimes though, the. Questioners are stupid and just wish to hog the limelight by giving unformed ideas as bytes to willing media.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

To get my Triple crown is more difficult than earning them. Education award. I had to have some hot email exchanges and two valuable conversations before they . agreed to despatch it.   Look forward to getting it soon.

It’s not what we have – A Didactic Cinquain

It’s not what we have
Determines, Who we are
What we do, With What we have;  A measure of who we are
Braver than I, perhaps?
What We Do with what we have.

It's not what we have - A Didactic Cinquain

It’s not what you have;  that determines who you are,

but what you do with what you have. The measure of who we are is

what we do with what we have.
