One-Minute Power Mentoring2 – Jay Parkhe : My Speeches

O.M.P.M. 3 (One-Minute Power Mentoring)

Hello.

If you have a VC Pitch presentation and you are struggling,

If you are a C-Suite aspirant and have a gut-feel that you will be ‘Off-listed’

if you do not improve your speaking and presentation skills – I shall help you both.

I am Jay Parkhe.

I am a Startup and C-Suite Mentor, An Author, Global Speaker, Toastmaster, and Global Goodwill Ambassador.

I am starting a New YouTube Channel.

It will be a video for about a Minute per day.
There will be one Theme Word or a combination of two words like I chose “Wishful Thinking” day before yesterday.

Today let us go a bit philosophical and discuss the word DEATH

Here, today, it just means TRANSFORMATION!

MEANING:
The word Death does not literally mean death.

It means the death of situations,
relationships, friendships, businesses and so on.

But more importantly,

it means new beginnings.

This is a time of transformation.

Embrace it and move forward

to new and better things.

Your guides and angels want to help you bring this into your experience!

Do what you need to do to help you feel that it is already done! It is already done. Believe it and you will manifest it!

If you would like to interact with me about Mentoring

you can write to me at parkhe@gmail.com

and I shall send you a Free Mini-ebook which will tell

you all about my 11 Key Mentoring Practices I deploy

with my mentees.

Thank you.

Today’s Word is ACCEPTANCE

We must accept ourselves and our life as it is before we can move forward and heal.

Acceptance is the key to moving ahead,

for we cannot go forward while looking backward.

We don’t Drive the Car watching only in the REARVIEW mirror – We Drive by looking ahead.

It is time to finally heal our life by accepting our journey for all that it is and all that it is not.

No, things may not have turned out as planned,
but they turned out as they needed,
whether you see that or not.
Right now, at this moment, hold your heart and say aloud,

“I love you. I accept you. I honor you.”

Let these words permeate throughout your body and your life, as you move forward with acceptance and gratitude.

ADDITIONAL MEANINGS of ACCEPTANCE ARE:

  1. Accept yourself as you are

2.Be accepting of others

3.This is a time of healing

4.Express your gratitude
Your guides and angels want to help you bring this into your experience!

Do what you need to do to help you feel that it is already done! It is already done.

Believe it and you will manifest it!

My speech at Toastmasters Table Topics: BODY PARTS AS VERBS ✋😁💪🏿👅

Many parts of the body can be used as verbs in either a physical or a metaphorical sense.

You can head a company, but if things go wrong you’ll have to shoulder the blame, or face your investors.

So keep your head while speaking.

Shoulder responsibility and maintain a smiling face.

A good leader backs his employees, but if you don’t toe the line you might get skinned.

Never go back on your word as a boss or a leader – fulfill promises.
if someone dies not tie your line just don’t crush it.

skinning alive is a cannibals trait not a right thinking convincing persuasive person.

Did you muscle your way into that job?

Using muscle is not persuasion it is dominance and manipulation.

You might eye someone suspiciously,

But give a sympathetic look when persuading.

or wait for the police to finger a suspect.

Never finger people as three fingers will point at you.

But if you need to get out of town, try thumbing a ride.

giving and taking lift is not bad. if your thumbing is not persuasive, you won’t get a lift

You can ride with me if you can stomach the thought.

empathise. people may not be ready to digest what you say.

I don’t always sing along to the radio, but you might see me mouthing the words.

One-Minute Power Mentoring 1- Jay Parkhe: My speeches

O.M.P.M. 1. (One-Minute Power Mentoring)

Hello.

There will be one Theme Word or a combination of two words like I chose “Wishful Thinking” for today.

Wishful thinking is not the same as manifesting that which you desire.

You are on the right track.

Continue to use your imagination to inspire you, and to let all your dreams unfold.

Don’t get wishful thinking confused with the law of attraction.

The difference between wishful thinking and actually manifesting is this:

wishful thinking uses words such as “I hope”, “maybe someday”, “I can’t wait until”, or “I hope I can make this happen”.

If this is what you are doing, it is a good start, but it is not enough to manifest what you desire.

Trust me, when I say this, you can have what you want,
but you are going to have to match the frequency of already having it before you can experience it.
So, today, take the time to feel it as already done. That is the key!

My Speech Mentor once told me to make a practice video. Listen to it and after internalizing, speak again.
This way, he said, As you have done the speech in the past – the Future looks more solid and Do-Able.
Think, It is already done. Feel the satisfaction of knowing it is here now, not out there somewhere else.

You can have what you are asking for!

Your guides and angels want to help you bring this into your experience! Do what you need to do to help you feel that it is already done! It is already done. Believe it and you will manifest it!

My speeches at Toastmasters: Persuasion: Would be father-in-law. Humorous speech

You PIERCE My Soul.
I am Half Agony,
Half Hope
I have Loved NONE
but You!
I was in Love and
she was non-committal
would-be far-in-law very furious
I had tried every persuasive Trick in my repertoire and
Lost my Sweeart!
Mom wasn’t a Help
A School Head-Mistress
and a widow
she was a tough lady.
When would-be-far-in-law
tried to make a Pass –
she gave him a Punch in face
and broke his front teeth and Jaw!
I was heartbroken!

Fellow Toastmasters and Guests.
It was Aristotle, who broke down essential elements of persuasion into three parts:

(1) logos or logic
(2) ethos or ethic, and
(3) pathos or emotion.
Logos refers to logic, words, and reasons in your argument. “our narrative must fit toger like links in a chain or pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to form a coherent statement or argument.

Think, plan talk,
we organize points in a sequence from general
to particular, from start to conclusion,
with each point building on each previous point to form a persuasive argument.”

second aspect of persuasion—ethos—
refers to your character, ethics, and our believability when we speak. Increase credibility with our audience before and after our speech increases likelihood that listeners will accept our arguments and take action on our recommendations.

Pathos is emotional content of our presentation and most important.
When we move people at an emotional level
n we can motivate m to change ir thoughts and take a particular action..
My Mom said she’ll FIX it.
She’ll ARRANGE a marriage for me.
We sat on a Plane for first time.
My Pilot was Rajiv Gandhi.
Excited, we reached by Cab from Bhopal to Indore to see a Prospective Bride.

I was a Field Officer in a Fertilizer company.
Would be far in law was a bank manager.
He probed about my job and concluded
” It’s a Thankless job, you do! ”

I did not want to manipulate,
I told him Truth.
I left a bank job because of I felt that was thankless!
Needless to say, I remained 7 star Sales Person won all honors in company but..
I did not get married n with that Girl
who agreed with her far.
I did not want to manipulate,
Let me give you another example: Have you Ever Resigned from a Job?

I have..
I resigned 6 times.
No one leaves a good company.
We all leave bad bosses.
As a Recruiter, Boss and Leader I recruited. Thousands of people in 25 years…
I was both, good and bad boss .
and accepted. hundreds of resignations, .
Before I sent people to HR for Exit interviews I would ask m
Have you finally, decided to quit after a logical, rational thought?
If answer was a firm yes, I would let people GO with a heavy heart but I would respect ir decision and told m so
If answer was non-definite I would ask m if y wanted help or decision support from me?
I would tell m if you still reach a decision to quit after my counsel. –
I will respect decision.
Many people stayed back.
I persuaded. well.
last example, I was a salesman at 12.
I had medical reps much elder to me as my friends.
Mr. Rao was 40, Bald and energetic. (Don’t look at TMOD! OR GE please ! )
He represented Warner Hindustan and always gifted us sample bottles of Waterbury’s compound.
He tried hard to convince Top doctor in city
who was my uncle and never prescribed Waterbury’s compound.
He tried all tricks in his book which were ethical, logical and emotional – all. persuasive types.
One day, he found my uncle ready to sit in car, ready to go home and he asked him.
Doctor, I . tried every trick I learned in past 20 years with you for past 3 years but why. have I not succeded to convince you.
May. I now surrender before you and ask you -= How to convince a Top Doctor like you.
My Uncle laughed his 7 story Laugh. His ego satisfied, inflated. He drove away. Did not say a word.
But he prescribed Waterbury’s compound reafter to one and sundry.
Now that’s power of persuasion.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Never lose heart and manipulate ors – Persuade. It takes longer but we succeed.
To end, let me give you a Quote –
How quick comes reason to approve what we care about?
Let us Persuade, Convince,
Understand ors first before ors understand us,
and Win Victories and friends for life.
Over to you, ToastMaster.

My speeches at Toastmasters

5A’s of my latent Needs.

My Path completion speech at Toatmasters for Presentation Mastery Path.

Do you know the Uniqueness of yours name?

Do you see something Different in my Name?

I noticed that I have 5 A’s in my English Spelt Name.
Fellow Toastmasters and Distinguished

guests.

About an year ago, at a Toastmasters Club I heard a term – it was called “Smedley’s CURSE!. Yes. You heard it right. CURSE. And How.

It was explained that the club which does not applaud its speakers get the Smedley’s Curse.

But jokes apart there is a saying by Dale Carnegie which says “Applause is a Receipt, it is not a Bill” .

I realised that I have an APPLAUSE FACTOR. Now when you add Factor to the word applause it becomes a deficiency, a psychological phenomenon.

This is my 1st A and it made me to COMMIT with Toastmasters journey rather than FLIRT by coming for some meeting and absenting in others.

It made me think – Why is it a psychological phenomenon – it is a LATENT NEED like food, shelter and clothing.

We see its origins in the 2nd A which I call as need for AFFIRMATION. ‘

Acclaim, Approval by others. Acknowledgement and Appreciation by others.

Did I already give you all my 5 A’s ?
AFFIRM, ACCLAIM, APPROVE, ACKNOWLEDGE, APPRECIATE, APPLAUD.

Interesting isn’t it? See what you find from your name?

An year ago, I won my 1st Table Topics Best Speaker Ribbon. I posted the picture in Facebook today as the 2nd Path Presentation Mastery taught me to become STRONGER IN MY STRONGEST SPOT that is Social Media. So I found to my surprise, I had received 5.2 Lakh over Half a Million views on my two blogs and acquired 50000+ followers across networks like Linkedin , Facebook Twitter and I am a Quasi – Celebrity already !

Now that’s what the learning at Toastmasters does to us and we should all crave for – using what we learn here outside, in society, in public life.
What did I learn in the Presentation Mastery path that I remember most.

• 1. Ice Breaker
• 2. Evaluation and Feedback
• 3. Researching and Presenting

Level 2 – Total Speeches: 4

Level 5: Total Items: 3 Done 4

• 4. Path Completion—Presentation Mastery
TRUTH is some of the toughest learning and speaking experiences were:

Role-Playing, Cross-Cultural speech – in front of Kazakh, Polish, Russian audiences

Interview, Panel and Difficult audiences were tough assignments and I enjoyed them.

‘Global exposure was great experience.

It motivated me to keep building my Social Media followers on Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, Youtube.

I gave KeyNote addresses in schools and colleges appeared in Trade associations, Global conferences as Panel Chairman.

‘I gained opportunities to enhance Toastmasters learning in personal and professional life.

Difficult is what takes longer. Presentation Mastery was the toughest path I found as it took longer. I began with the Icebreaker in November 2018 and could complete this month.

My biggest take from two paths is I can use the skills learned outside of Toastmasters.

Like everyone here who wishes to learn must complete the path. It is a great value addition to ourselves and society.

Thank you.

OVER TO YOU, TOASTMASTER.
