What motivates Jay?
“I have been unable to save much money in my life. I have been in politics, and in politics an honest man does not get rich. (Sam Rayburn, whose savings at his death totaled $15,000)” “No one could buy him (Sam Rayburn). Lobbyists could not buy him so much as a meal. Not even the taxpayer could buy him a meal. He refused not only fees but travel expenses for out-of-town speeches; hosts who . . . attempted to press checks upon him quickly realized they had made a mistake. . . . Rayburn would say, ‘I’m not for sale’ – and then he would walk away without a backward glance.” – Robert Caro
Jay has delivered lectures at B Schools on Business Ethics, CSR and Corporate Governance for 15 years while teaching Business Strategy, Business Planning and Making Marketing Plans and Marketing Management,.
At work in TNT, Jay was Integrity Coordinator for the Country and was Chairperson for the Disciplinary Action Committees which would investigate Whistleblower cases, investigate frauds and demeanor cases and monitor Gift and entertainment Policy while keeping a close watch on Bribing.
His Politics is Center of Right Wing while he began in Economics courses reading and liking Karl Marx and Frederick Nietzsche among other Economics and Philosophers famous in the 19th and 20th Century. He was influenced by the ideology of RSS, ShivSena in the childhood and as a NCC Cadet – he dedicates the DISCIPLINE in his life to these organizations where he believed in Patriotism more than radicalism. His early influencers in youth were Swami Atmananda and Swami Pranavanand of Vivekananda Ashram in Raipur and later Shri Eknathji Ranade who handpicked him to be a Non-Sanyasi Life worker – which his family felt is becoming a MONK and was refused permission.
Eknathji Ranade analyzed Jay in two words: He said:
- You have Purity of Heart, Son – Keep it the same – all your life.
- You indulge in the luxury of Mind, Read a lot, speak a lot – Henceforth, use it to Give Back FREE to those needy – let them benefit from the wealth of your knowledge, goodwill and learning attained thru your experiences of life.
Jay was lucky to seek out Mentors and there were many who found him out to Mentor, thus making ” The Master Appears when the Pupil is Ready” – the “Buddhist saying true.
