… that today is Push-Button Phone Day? The first publicly commercially available push-button telephone was offered on this day in 1963 by the Bell System in the towns of Carnegie and Greensburg, Pennsylvania, after being tested in multiple locations. The push-button telephone was first invented in 1941, and eventually replaced rotary dial telephones that were first used in 1891.
