Sprig of Ivy Day

Did you know…

… that today is Sprig of Ivy Day? This Irish holiday celebrates the death of one of the great Irish nationalist leaders, Charles Stewart Parnell, on October 6, 1891. Irish wear a sprig of ivy on this day to honor him.
