… that today is International Pancake Race Day? The first International Pancake Race was held in Liberal, Kansas, on this day in 1950. The annual event pits the women of Liberal against the women of Olney, Bucks, England. The women run a 415-yard, S-shaped course and must carry a pancake in a skillet and toss it three times. The event has been going on for more than 70 years now!
