… that today, besides being Labor Day in the US (Happy Labor Day!), is National Neither Snow Nor Rain Day? This celebrated day takes its name from the unofficial motto of the United States Postal Service: “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” On this day in 1914, New York City opened its new main post office, which has those words inscribed on it.
