SEASONED NUTS: QUOTABLE
|“An event of great agony is bearable only in the belief that it will bring about a better world. When it does not, as in the aftermath of another vast calamity in 1914-18, disillusion is deep and moves on to self-doubt and self-disgust.”
“Regulations,” he would say, “are all very well for drill but in the hour of danger they are no more use.… You have to learn to think.” To think meant to give room for freedom of initiative, for the imponderable to win over the material, for will to demonstrate its power over circumstance.”
– Barbara Tuchman
A truly strong person does not need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep. ~ Vernon Howard
Good morning. After a few days of Weather changes and sufferings – returned to normal walk yesterday. The Wonder Kadha “Maha Sudarshan” finally, did the trick. Self-Generating Alchohol at 11%, Bitter with lots of rare ingredients, Ayurvedic preparation – leaves behind a Home-made wine-like taste, clears the palette and best thing is it washed away 3-month-old cough and phlegm and wheezing caused by Bengaluru’s infamous ‘Pollen” in the air. All said and done, THINGS AVERAGE OUT – Bengaluru weather is so warm, it gave a sun-stroke. But I still love the weather here – don’t know how it will be in coming days, months, years. Enjoy.
