Well, for this restaurant in Colorado, bad luck is surely coming in showers. In the last ten months, The Hornet restaurant of Denver has been hit by a car thrice! Its bout of bad luck began in February when an out-of-control car had broken into it.

While the restaurant claims it is well on the way to recovery and is assuring its customers that it’s safe, it’s sure not the luckiest place for a Sunday brunch!

Here’s wishing Hornet a smoother and safer entry into the new year.

California-based marketing cloud platform MoEngage has raised $9 million during Series B round led by Matrix Partners, VenturEast and existing investors Exfinity Ventures and Helion Venture Partners. Water contamination is a serious issue plaguing under-served rural areas, but thanks to former marine engineer Anjan Mukherjee and his innovation, this problem is being tackled, one step at a time. An IIT Bombay dropout and IIM Bangalore alumnus, Anjan has come up with a device – ‘Taraltec Disinfection Reactor’ – which he calls a “fit and forget” technology. It is, however, not a filter but a technology that uses basic principles of physics.

Delhi-based non-banking financial company and microfinance institution Fusion Microfinance has closed Series E funding of Rs 520 crore in a round led by private equity firm Warburg Pincus. The investment round includes both a primary fund raise and secondary sale by early-stage investors Incofin, NMI, BIO and SIDBI. Existing investor Creation Investment also participated in this round.

Quora was recently targeted by “a malicious third-party”, leading to the breach of 100 million accounts. The news was announced on late Monday by the site itself, who assured that they are working to investigate the situation and take appropriate steps to prevent future incidents.
