Frenemy and Fake People

#Frenemy #FakePeople

They give their Fakes and legs a shake,
And sob until their tears melt.
The only other sound’s the break,
Of distant mirrors keeping barbers awake.

Fake are People, Frenemy and deep,
But they too have promises to keep,
Until then they shall not sleep.
They lie in beds with ducts that weep.

They rise from their bitter beds,
With thoughts of madness in their head,
They idolise being dead.
Faking the day with never-ending dread.

The Fake And People Life

A Poem by Jay

Whose life is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite happy though.

Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,
I watch her laugh. I cry hello.

She gives her life a shake,
And laughs until her belly aches.
The only other sound’s the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.

The life is fake, people are deep,
But she has promised to keep,
After cake and lots of sleep.
Sweet dreams don’t come cheap.

She rises from her gentle bed,
With thoughts of kittens in her head,
She eats her jam with loads of bread.
Ready for the day ahead.

With thanks to the poet,

Robert Frost, for the underlying structure.

  1. Sometimes, all you need to do is completely make an ass of yourself and laugh it off to realise that life isn’t so bad after all.

Happens to me number of times. No one is 100% perfect, that is my excuse ! 🙂

  2. The clock within this blog and the clock on my laptop are 1 hour different from each other.

Daylight saving time?  No my laptop battery is very weak.

  3. Cats are good pets, for they are clean and are not noisy.

I love pugs better though.  They “Follow me”- Cats are well, they are Catty !”

  4. Yeah, I think it’s a good environment for learning English.

Ya ya ya ! Some of the comments that I read here on WordPress – teach me English Dialects. 🙂

  5. A song can make or ruin a person’s day if they let it get to them.

    I think this is true.

I belong to no religion. Every religion belongs to me. My own personal religion is of my being the Ancient Infinite One and the religion I teach to all is love for God.

The religion I give, touches the knowledge of the One behind the many. The book that I make people read is the book of the Heart, which holds the key to the mystery of life. As for ritual, I teach humanity to discriminate, to express its true life and to live the religion which it feels. I bring about a happy blending of the head and the heart.

Before we ask whether you are hearty, ask ourselves Are we HAIL?

Being persuasive is often a function of being (or at least appearing) trustworthy. The more people trust you, the more likely they are to listen to your words and do what you want. For that purpose, the HAIL method can guide you.
Sound consultant Julian Treasure explains the four principles of the HAIL method: Honesty, Authenticity, Integrity, and Love. While it might sound cheesy, living out these four ideas all have a direct effect on how trustworthy you come off and, as a result, how persuasive you are:
The H, honesty, of course, being true in what you say, being straight and clear.
The A is authenticity, just being yourself. A friend of mine described it as standing in your own truth, which I think is a lovely way to put it.
The I is integrity, being your word, actually doing what you say, and being somebody people can trust.
And the L is love. I don’t mean romantic love, but I do mean wishing people well, for two reasons. First of all, I think absolute honesty may not be what we want. I mean, my goodness, you look ugly this morning. Perhaps that’s not necessary. Tempered with love, of course, honesty is a great thing. But also, if you’re really wishing somebody well, it’s very hard to judge them at the same time. I’m not even sure you can do those two things simultaneously.
Of course, this isn’t revolutionary news. The more authentic and honest you are, the more people will be willing to trust you. That’s how trust works. But running through your conversations, speech, and behavior through this filter can help keep you on the right track.
