The Open Government Platform (OGD) Platform has been built in compliance with Open Data Policy (NDSAP) to set a benchmark in enabling India to become one of the leading countries with regard to Open Data Initiative across the world. To fulfil the objective of Community/Citizen engagement under Open Data Policy Implementation, NIC in association with Startup India has launched the Open Data Hackathon (#OpenGovDataHack), a pan-India Hackathon across seven cities as well as online participation followed by Open Data Apps Challenge.
