… that today is Girl Scouts Begin Day? The Girl Scout organization (original named Girl Guides) was founded on this day in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low. Juliette envisioned an organization that would prepare girls to meet their world with courage, confidence, and character. At a time when women in the United States couldn’t yet vote, this nearly deaf 51-year-old sparked a worldwide movement inspiring girls to embrace their individuality, strength, and intellect. Thank you, Juliette.
